Share and export reports (Beta)
This documentation describes one or more public beta features that are in development. Beta features are subject to quick, iterative changes; therefore the current user experience in the Sigma service can differ from the information provided in this page.

This document covers how to share and export your report. For more information about reports, see Reports overview (Beta).
User requirements
- You must be assigned an account type with the Share documents permission enabled.
- You must be the report owner or be granted Can edit access to the document.
Limitations
- A maximum of 10,000 rows per table will appear in exports.
- Before exporting a report for the first time, you must publish it.
- Cross-organization sharing of reports is not yet supported.
Share a report with other members of your organization
To invite a specific member or team to access your report:
When you share a document with someone, they are also granted View access to the data in the connection data sources.
- From the document menu, select Share and export > Share.
- Search for and enter an email address, organization member or team in Sigma you want to share your report with.
- In the Permission dropdown, select your desired permission. For more information on permission options, see Folder and document permissions.
- Repeat for any additional members or teams.
- To add a message along with your report, enter a message in the Add a message field.
- To send an email notification along with your report, select the Send email checkbox.
- Select Share.
To allow general sharing of your report with users in your organization by link:
Guest users and external users cannot access a report shared with your organization.
- In the workbook header, click Share (
) to open the Share Workbook modal. You can also share a workbook from the document menu.
- At the bottom of the modal, in the General access link section, toggle Allow sharing by link.
- For All members of your organization, choose from the available permissions. The following permissions are available:
- Can view
- Can explore
- Can edit After you set the permission, the workbook can be shared.
- Click Copy Link to copy the link to the workbook to share with others.
Download a report
You can download the published or draft version of a report as a PDF:
- Open the document menu of the report, then select Share and export > Export.
- When the Direct download option appears, select Export.
Send or schedule report exports
You can send ad hoc exports, or schedule exports for a later time. There are multiple destinations and formats you can export a report to.
To export the latest version of a report, need to publish any draft changes. Publish your report and then Go to published version before exporting your report.

Slack: Send an ad hoc notification or schedule a Slack notification.

Microsoft Teams: Send an ad hoc notification or schedule a notification to a Microsoft Teams channel.

SharePoint: Send an ad hoc export to Microsoft SharePoint or schedule an export.

Google Drive: Send an ad hoc export to Google Drive as needed or schedule an export.

Webhook: Send an ad hoc webhook export or schedule a recurring export.

Email burst (Scheduled exports only): Schedule an email burst.
