Customize text typeface, size, and style in reports (Beta)

🚩

This documentation describes one or more public beta features that are in development. Beta features are subject to quick, iterative changes; therefore the current user experience in the Sigma service can differ from the information provided in this page.

This page should not be considered official published documentation until Sigma removes this notice and the beta flag on the corresponding feature(s) in the Sigma service. For the full beta feature disclaimer, see Beta features.

When building reports in Sigma, you can customize text elements to meet your branding needs by using preset text styles, as well as more granular typeface and font sizing options.

By default, when you create a text element in a report, a default preset style is used. Reports allow you to switch between the preset style options, as well as "break" these preset styles in favor of using a custom font or size. This document covers how to use the preset text styles available and how to switch to more customized font options if desired.

For more information on report themes and settings, like setting font throughout a report, see Customize report settings and themes (Beta). For more information on reports in general, see Reports overview (Beta).

User requirements

Use preset text styles

By default, when you create a text element in a report, the Medium paragraph preset style is applied. To switch from one preset style to another preset style:

  1. Select your text element and ensure the text is highlighted.
  2. From the toolbar above, select your desired preset from the dropdown menu. The available presets are: Large heading, Medium heading, Small heading, Large paragraph, Medium paragraph, and Small paragraph.

If you are using a custom text typeface and size and want to switch back to using a preset style:

  1. Select your text element and ensure the text is highlighted.
  2. In the toolbar, select Restore style, then select your desired preset style from the dropdown menu.

Customize text typeface and size

To apply a specific typeface or size option instead of using one of the preset styles:

  1. Select your text element and ensure the text is highlighted.
  2. In the toolbar, select Break style.
  3. Select your desired typeface from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter your desired font size.
