InPriorDateRange

The InPriorDateRange function determines if an inputted date is within a specified date range in a previous time period, returning True or False.

Syntax

InPriorDateRange([date column], [range period], [prior period], [offset], [today])

Function arguments:

  • date column (required) - The date to be evaluated.
  • range period (required) - The period for the date range
    • options: year, quarter , month, week, day, hour, minute , and second
  • prior period (required) - The period used to offset the range period.
    • options: year, quarter , month, week, day, hour, minute , and second
  • offset (optional) - The number of prior periods to offset by.
    • If not set, defaults to 1
  • today (optional) - The value to use for Today when calculating with respect to the current date.
    • If not set, defaults to Today()

Example

Returns True for all dates in the current hour of the day in the previous day:

InPriorDateRange([Date], "hour", "day")

Returns True for all dates in this month last year:

InPriorDateRange([Date], "month", "year")

Returns True for all dates in this month two years ago:

InPriorDateRange([Date], "month", "year", 2)
