This article covers how to download workbook data elements to supported file types and export them to Google Sheets.

Supported File Types & Destinations

  • Most visualization types can be downloaded as CSV, Excel, and PNG
  • Tables and pivot tables can be downloaded as CSV or Excel or exported to Google Sheets

Download a Data Element

Download an Element from the Page Canvas

  1. Hover your cursor over the element.
  2. Click the vertical ••• icon button in the element’s inline toolbar.

Now what?

  • If you selected CSV, Excel, or PNG, a file will be download to your device.
  • If you selected Google Sheets, you will be prompted to allow the export to your Google account. A new browser tab will open to the Sheet when the export is complete.

Download an Element while in Focus Mode

  1. Click the vertical ••• icon button in the page toolbar.
  2. Select an option from the menu's Download submenu.

Now what?

  • If you selected CSV, Excel, or PNG, a file will be download to your device.
  • If you selected Google Sheets,  you will be prompted to allow the export to your Google account. A new browser tab will open to the Sheet when the export is complete.
