Ask Sigma Discovery (Beta)
This documentation describes a private beta feature and is under construction. This documentation should not be considered part of our published documentation until this notice, and the corresponding Beta flag on the feature in the Sigma service, is removed. As with any beta feature, the feature described below is subject to quick, iterative changes. The latest experience in the Sigma service might differ from the contents of this document. Prerequisites
Ensure that you have configured AI features for your organization.
You must be assigned the Admin account type to access these settings.
Using Ask Sigma discovery
Ask Sigma discovery provides enables you to quickly access and digest data, and get new users familiar with the data in your organization. You can use Discovery to get a sense of what data exists in your organization and understand the capabilities of that data, so you can better formulate questions for Ask Sigma.

Access the Ask Sigma page from the Sigma home page. When you access the page, Ask Sigma Discovery displays generated data collections based on the highlighted data sources in your organization.
Ask Sigma Discovery customizes the data collections depending on the data sources that you have access to in Sigma.

Select one of the data collections to expand the collection to display:
- Relevant highlighted data source tables for that collection.
- Workbooks built from those data sources.
- Detailed summaries for each aspect of the collection.

Click on the data source table or workbook book name to open that table or workbook in a new browser tab.

Ask a question on a data source table
When you view a dataset table in the data catalog, you can ask a question of your dataset from the Ask Sigma option on the Overview tab. You can ask a question of any dataset visible to you, not just sources highlighted for Ask Sigma.
When you enter a question, Sigma opens Ask Sigma in a new browser tab, populated with the question that you asked.
