Convert worksheets and dashboards to workbooks

Worksheets and dashboards are deprecated. On March 3, 2026, editing of worksheets and dashboards will be disabled. On June 2, 2026, this functionality will reach end of support and existing worksheets and dashboards will no longer be available. To ensure continued access to your content, convert worksheets and dashboards to workbooks.

Conversion considerations

Consider the following before converting a worksheet or dashboard to a workbook:

• Although any worksheet or dashboard can be converted to a workbook, conversions are ideal for worksheets and basic dashboards. Due to structural differences between dashboards and workbooks, content converted from complex dashboards can require significant rework. As an alternative, you can rebuild dashboard content in a new workbook.
• Elements in the resulting workbook might be sized differently than in the worksheet or dashboard.
• Some elements in the worksheet or dashboard might not be available in the resulting workbook and will need to be recreated.

Convert to a workbook

Convert a worksheet or dashboard to reproduce your analysis and gain access to workbook functionality.

1. Open the worksheet or dashboard.
2. When prompted, click Convert to workbook.
3. Review the resulting workbook and edit as needed to correct changes to formatting, elements, etc.
