Trellis Chart Types

Sigma supports trellising for the following chart types:

Trellis your Data

  1. Create a new chart, or select an existing chart to open its editor panel.
    Note: Reference chart type-specific documentation to learn more about chart types and their required fields.
  2. Select the TRELLIS tab under the MARKS section of the editor panel.

  3. Add column(s) to the TRELLIS ROW and/or TRELLIS COLUMN fields. 
    To add a column:
    • Click the + button to the right of the field label, and select a column from the popup list.
      OR
    • Drag and drop a column from the COLUMNS list onto the field label.

Trellis Formatting

Axis and Legend Sharing

  1. Select a chart to open its editor panel. 
    Note: The chart must have at least one value plotted under MARKS > TRELLIS.
  2. Click the paintbrush icon button in the top right corner of the editor panel.
    This will open the format panel.

  4. Use the checkboxes under SHARE to make your share selections for X-Axis, Y-Axis, and Color Legends

Axis Label / Title Formatting

  1. Select a chart to open its editor panel. 
    Note: The chart must have at least one value plotted under MARKS > TRELLIS.
  2. Click the paintbrush icon button at the top of the editor panel.
    This will open the format panel. 
  3. Click TRELLIS.
  4. Use the checkboxes and dropdown menus under COLUMN and ROW to define your titles and labels.
