The Power of Snapshots
By generating a new Sheet on each export, this feature allows your team to create a snapshot history of reports in a central location for future reference and easy sharing.
You can leverage this report history to track and reflect on data changes and business decisions over time.
If you would prefer to rewrite over a single Sheet on each export, check out Export to Google Sheets.
Authorizing Sigma to Export to your Google Drive
The first time you schedule an export to Google Drive, you will be prompted to authorize Sigma to export to your Drive. Click 'Authorize' and follow the instructions on your screen.
After completing authorization, you will be redirected back to Sigma’s Scheduled Exports modal.
Creating a Destination Folder
When setting up a schedule, you will be asked to create a destination folder directly from Sigma’s scheduler modal. This new folder will be created directly in your authorized Google Drive.
To create this folder, please enter a new folder name under the heading ‘Google Drive Folder’ and click 'Create Folder '. You can rename the folder at any time in Google Drive without it impacting your schedule.
We will then provide you a direct link to your new folder.
*Please note - each schedule will be associated with the Google Drive of the original scheduler.
What to Expect from your Scheduled Export
Every time your scheduled export runs, a new timestamped Google Sheet will automatically be created in your destination folder.
Each Sheet will be named as follows: "<Export Timestamp> - <Sigma Document Name>”.
The export limit is 150k rows of data, and any columns that have been grouped into levels will be flattened.
