Sourcing your Worksheet Data

You can't analyze data without data. Worksheets are all built off of one of four data source types: warehouse tables, Sigma Datasets, custom SQL, or CSVs uploaded to your warehouse.

Create a Worksheet from Custom SQL

Sigma's SQL Runner is available if you have a SQL query already written, or if you want to test out a query in SQL before creating a Worksheet or Dataset.

Note: You must have permission to access your data at the connection level to write custom SQL in Sigma. Contact an organization Admin for any permissions requests.

Create a Worksheet from a CSV

Sigma Worksheets and Datasets can be created directly from uploaded CSV files. To learn how, please visit our CSV Upload guide.

Note: This feature requires Admin enablement at the organization level.
