# Share and accept cross-org document templates

> Share templates with other organizations to share the structure and layout of a workbook or report with another Sigma organization.

Share templates with other organizations to share the structure and layout of a workbook or report with another Sigma organization. When you share a template with another organization, no data is transferred. The receiving organization must choose a data source to use with the template when accepting a shared template, ensuring that no data from the sharing organization is transferred.

This document explains how to share and accept a workbook template or report template across organizations.

## User requirements

To share or accept a template shared by another organization, you must be assigned the **Admin** [account type](/docs/account-type-and-license-overview).

## Share a template with another organization

1. Go to your **Home** > **Templates**.
2. Locate and select the template you want to share.
3. Open the template details page, then click **Share template**.
4. In the **Share Template** modal, click **Share with other organizations**.
5. Enter the required organization information:

   1. In the **Organization URL** field, enter the URL identifier associated with the receiving organization. The organization URL identifier follows `app.sigmacomputing.com/` in the Sigma URL. Use a comma to separate multiple organization URL identifiers.

   2. (Optional) Select the **Share datasets and data models included in template** checkbox to copy all datasets and data models used in the template to the receiving organization. The datasets and data models will become available to all members in the receiving organization, and will be available for use in other documents.

   3. (Optional) Select the **Copy input table data** checkbox to copy data in input tables in the template that have a data entry permission set to **Editable in draft**. If you choose this option, data is copied to the receiving organization when the template is accepted and updated whenever the template is published in the sending organization.

   4. (Optional) In the **Add a message** field, enter a message to include in the invitation email Sigma sends to the receiving organization's admins.

   5. Select **Share template**.
