# Get started with templates

Sigma provides templates to help you get started using Sigma features and functionality. Users can also [create templates](/docs/create-and-edit-workbook-templates) and share them with you.

Sigma offers example templates for common use cases like [Snowflake usage monitoring](/docs/snowflake-usage-templates) and app templates for workflows like project management, headcount management, budget variance analysis, and revenue forecasting. You can use the templates to get started building apps for those tasks, and review the structure of the apps to learn how to build your own apps in Sigma.

Explore the template gallery by clicking **Templates** in the left-side navigation panel of Sigma **Home**. You must be assigned an account type with the **Create, edit, and publish workbooks** permission enabled to view **Templates**.

For details about using templates in your organization, see [Create documents from templates](/docs/create-workbooks-from-templates).
