Array functions create, manage, and manipulate arrays (lists of indexed values). | Function | Description | | :------------------------------------------- | :--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [Array](/docs/array) | Returns an array containing specified values. | | [ArrayCompact](/docs/arraycompact) | Removes nulls from an array. | | [ArrayConcat](/docs/arrayconcat) | Combines multiple arrays into one array. | | [ArrayContains](/docs/arraycontains) | Searches for a specific value in an array. If the value is found, the function returns `True`, otherwise it returns `False`. | | [ArrayDistinct](/docs/arraydistinct) | Returns the array without duplicate values. | | [ArrayExcept](/docs/arrayexcept) | Returns an array of all unique elements from one specified array not included in another specified array. | | [ArrayIntersection](/docs/arrayintersection) | Compares two arrays and returns an array of all overlapping elements, without duplicates. | | [ArrayJoin](/docs/arrayjoin) | Joins elements of an array into a single text string. | | [ArrayLength](/docs/arraylength) | Determines the number of entries in an array, or list. | | [ArraySlice](/docs/arrayslice) | Returns a portion of an array, defined by the starting index and length. | | [RaggedHierarchy](/docs/raggedhierarchy) | Constructs a hierarchy with the values of the specified columns. | | [Sequence](/docs/sequence) | Returns an arithmetic sequence as an array of integers based on a specified range and increment | | [SplitToArray](/docs/splittoarray) | Splits a specified string by a given delimiter and returns an array of substrings. | | [Sparkline (Beta)](/docs/sparkline) | Generates sparkline charts from an array of JSON objects. | | [SparklineAgg (Beta)](/docs/sparklineagg) | Generates sparkline charts by aggregating values over time. | The following [aggregate functions](#aggregate-functions) also create arrays: | | | | :----------------------------------------- | :---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [ArrayAgg](/docs/arrayagg) | Identifies non-null row values in a column or group and aggregates them into a single array. | | [ArrayAggDistinct](/docs/arrayaggdistinct) | Identifies distinct non-null row values in a column or group and aggregates them into a single array. | > Official documentation and guidance for using Sigma to build AI apps, dashboards, and agents on governed warehouse data. ## Docs - [Array](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/array.md): Use the Sigma Array function to return an array containing specified values. - [ArrayCompact](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arraycompact.md): Use the Sigma ArrayCompact function to remove null values from an array and return the resulting array. - [ArrayConcat](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arrayconcat.md): Use the Sigma ArrayConcat function to combine multiple arrays into one array. - [ArrayContains](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arraycontains.md): Use the Sigma ArrayContains function to search for a specific value in a list or array. - [ArrayDistinct](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arraydistinct.md): Use the Sigma ArrayDistinct function to return the input array without duplicate values and including null values. - [ArrayExcept](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arrayexcept.md): Use the Sigma ArrayExcept function to return an array of all unique elements from one specified array not included in another specified array. - [ArrayIntersection](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arrayintersection.md): Use the Sigma ArrayIntersection function to compare two arrays and return an array of all overlapping elements, without duplicates. - [ArrayJoin](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arrayjoin.md): Use the Sigma ArrayJoin function to join elements of an array into a single text string. - [ArrayLength](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arraylength.md): Use the Sigma ArrayLength function to return the number of entries in a list. - [ArraySlice](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/arrayslice.md): Use the Sigma ArraySlice function to return a portion of an array, defined by the starting index and length. - [RaggedHierarchy](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/raggedhierarchy.md): Use the Sigma RaggedHierarchy function to build a parent-child path across columns that each represent a hierarchy level. - [Sequence](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/sequence.md): Use the Sigma Sequence function to return an arithmetic sequence as an array of integers based on a specified range and increment. - [SplitToArray](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/splittoarray.md): Use the Sigma SplitToArray function to split a specified string by a given delimiter and return an array of substrings. - [Sparkline](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/sparkline.md): Use the Sigma Sparkline function to create sparkline charts from an array of JSON objects. - [SparklineAgg](https://help.sigmacomputing.com/docs/sparklineagg.md): Use the Sigma SparklineAgg function to generate sparkline charts by aggregating values over time.
